How To Increase Breast Milk Production

When Baby was a newborn, I used to google search a lot on how to increase breast milk production as I did not have an outlet that produces milk abundantly like a fountain, like some mothers do! I found out about Milkmaid tea made from fenugreek seeds and I took it religiously for 2 years! Ever since my menses resumed recently, my milk supply has decreased drastically. Though it’s now almost dried up and shrunken, Baby still finds a lot of comfort latching on to her comfort tools like a pacifier!

Almost Weaned!

Baby is 80% weaned off my boops!! Last night was the first night she slept oh so soundly without fussing and without searching for my boops. This morning when I offered her my boops, she took a look at her comfort tools and then turned her head away! I didn’t expect her to reject her comfort tools, the tools which she had found so much satisfaction, comfort and solace in for 29 months of her life. While I am really happy that I can wean her off my boops without any tears and sleepless nights, I am nevertheless a tad sad that my Baby is growing up. I will definitely miss our moments together.

Our Saturday

We are just back from an outing at Mid Valley Megamall but I didn’t really enjoy myself. I don’t like to bring my kids out shopping. Whenever they are out, #2 will touch everything she sees, run about and hide (and give me heart attacks when I lose sight of her), #3 will be like a little puppy who is let off the leash and #1 will pester me to buy her stuff. I will be like a mad woman screaming at my gallivanting younger 2 and telling #1 that we’ve got too many color pencils, pens, books and crayons at home. I wonder if I’m the only one who does not like to bring my kids shopping with me. Seriously, I rather shop alone or stay home and do my stuff. I still have some car insurance quotes to review and I am darn sleepy now. But I can’t afford to take a forty wink as I have quite a bit of work to do and tonight we’re off to the Japanese restaurant to have a dinner.

How Often To Change A Computer?

My desktop computer is acting up again. Some of the functions in my Facebook page will be disabled when I open Facebook in Firefox and Google Chrome. I also cannot open my gmail account in Internet Explorer. My hubs told me that it’s time I get a new desktop computer or a laptop as my desktop is almost 4 years old and I am over utilizing it as well. I am really interested in a laptop and I think that a Sony VAIO would be awesome. Do you think that I should get a new laptop or a desktop? How often do you think we should change our computer?

No More Let-Down And Partially Weaned Off My Boops

Ever since my menses resumed after a 28-month hiatus due to breastfeeding, my milk supply has reduced drastically. Though I still have a teeny weeny amount of milk, I don’t get any let-down reflex anymore now. My boops have also shrunken now 🙁 The good thing is Baby is partially weaned off my boops. The only time she wants her ‘comfort tools’ is at night when she sleeps and when she wakes up from her afternoon nap. It is for mere comfort sucking now and not to satiate her hunger pangs. My next goal now is to wean Baby off my boops totally and get rid of her addiction to my boops to gain comfort.

No breakie

My parents have just arrived from Ipoh. My dad bought all my favorite food from Ipoh and I stuffed myself so much that I feel like puking now *greedy* We will be going out for dinner in a while but I am still feeling very bloated and stuffed. I feel like sweating it out for half an hour at the gym downstairs and burn some calories but I still have a lot to do. I have to write a review on Ferrari parts and shoot out invoice to several customers. The down side of running your own business is that there is no rest day. You work 7 days a week, 20 hours a day!

Baby Loves Esberitox!

Ever since we discovered that Esberitox (made from the purple flower Echinacea) is effective in treating colds and flus, everyone in the family has been relying on this ‘wonder pill’. I swear by it and I think it works very effectively in treating colds and runny nose. For almost a year, none of us have gone to the doctor’s, thanks to Esberitox. There is always a box or two of Esberitox in our kitchen cabinet. Two weeks ago, Sherilyn caught the flu bug, then Alycia and then my helper got bitten too last week. But none of us went to the doctor’s because I gave them my trusted Esberitox. Baby was not spared and 2 days ago, she got bitten by the bug too. I fed her with Esberitox too and she’s now recovering.  My girls love Esberitox and they think it’s candies! This morning I left a box of Esberitox on the dining table after giving 1 pill to Baby.

Just a moment ago I could not find it and I asked my helper where it was. “Dyah, di mana Esberitox? Pagi ni, I letak di meja” Upon hearing this, Baby who was watching TV sprang out from her seat and excitedly told me this “here here, I put Esberitox in my drawer!”.… and then ran as fast as she could to my bedroom, opened my her drawer and there it was the box of Esberitox… sitting in the drawer, which has rubbish (used papers, blunt color pencils, used plastic bags, plastic papers that I had torn from my Pos Laju flyer bags, etc) stuffed to the brim.  I tried throwing some of the rubbish a few times but she screamed blue murder each time I touched her things.  All the things that she likes are stuffed into this drawer!  I burst out laughing at this super cute fella.  She has been collecting rubbish and stealing her sisters things and  then stuffed them into my drawer and now she has dominated my drawer… and she claims that the drawer is hers!  She’s too cute.  I think she wants a drawer of her own just like her sisters.

Miniature Honey Dew

Hubby bought some miniature honey dews from the fruit stall. When we saw it, we had no idea what it was. It didn’t look like the regular honey dew with smooth pale green skin. Instead, there were yellow and pale yellow stripes, which made it look like a pumpkin.  The size of the miniature honey dew is around the size of a huge guava with seeds.

This is how it looks like inside. It tastes exactly like honey dew but ain’t very sweet. Nothing special about the taste of this special miniature honey dew and it’s expensive too.

Honeydew Melon Nutritional And Health Benefits
Honeydew melons have similar nutritional benefits of summer and winter squash.
Honeydew melons are low in calories and high in their water content. They provide an
excellent source of vitamin C and are also a very good source of potassium, copper,
and B vitamins (including thiamine, niacin, B6, and pantothenic acid).

Due to their high water content and combination with potassium, honeydew melons
are helpful in maintaining healthy blood pressure levels. They also provide several key
nutrients that are particularly beneficial for healthy skin.

Honeydew melon is low on calories and has no fat or cholesterols, so it is recommended to consume it instead of desserts if you want to lose weight in natural way. However it contains 14 grams of natural sugar per cup so it should not be eaten too much.

Another substance that honeydew melon is rich in is folate and therefore it improves cardiovascular system and prevents heart diseases. Folate is essential for proper brain function. If one is low in folate they have more chances to develop Alzheimer’s disease. Folate is especially important vitamin for pregnant women. Having enough of folate will keep your baby healthy and will help your baby develop well.

New researches show that honeydew melon can help in prevention of diabetes and also some types of cancer.
