One of the many worries that I have as an online store owner is that of the quality of the clothes that I have ordered from my suppliers. If the quality is sub-standard, I will be left in a lurch for I cannot return them to my suppliers or ask for a refund. I recently ordered a batch of kids clothes from my supplier and had paid over RM5k for them. I worry so much about the quality and of delays in in the stock arrival that I kept having dreams about the clothes. I just had another dream about the clothes last night but I cannot recall the details of the dream. Another problem I face is pernickety customers. They pay peanuts but expect the clothes to be of superb quality.   But thank God I don’t have many of these customers. I can go on and on ranting about the problems I face in running an online store but I better get back to work now and write a review on garage door opener as the deadline for submission is drawing near.

My mum was telling me that I should concentrate on being a full-time mom instead of working from home. She has seen how agitated and grouchy I get when work and my 3 kids get into me. She said I should spend some quality time with the kids until my youngest is at least 5 years old. Thereafter I can look around for some management jobs and return to the workforce full-time. But I don’t think I will be marketable by then. I would have been away from the workforce for 7 years. I don’t think any company would want to hire a woman in her early 40s who has lost touch with the corporate world for 7 years. I quite like what I am doing now. I have a business of my own, dealing in things that I am passionate about. I can’t wait for Baby to be 4 years old so that I can send her to pre-school. That’s when I can have some me time for at least 4 hours in the morning, all to myself.

My very first job was as a Stenographer. I was really green and never had any work experience. I didn’t even know how to punch holes the correct way onto documents to have them filed. I shuddered when one of my senior colleagues showed me a Velo Bind and asked me to bind some documents as I have never seen a binding machine, let alone handle it! But I gained a wealth of experience working in that bank. I also gained my maturity and wisdom working in that bank for almost 9 years.

Our kids are one lucky lot of kids. They don’t know that their daddy and mummy have been sacrificing so much for them. I have been telling my hubs umpteen times that I really want to change our mattress to a memory foam mattress even before Alycia was born. Now, 7 years on, we are still sleeping on our decade old mattress. We buy almost anything that our kids want for them. Our latest splurge on them was on a laptop and a new study table and shelf for their room. Hubs also repainted their room pink, which is Sherilyn’s favorite color. When we have kids, we tend to forget about our own needs but put our kids’ wants and needs above ours.

Christmas is just a week away. We have only done half the Christmas pressie shopping. We must spend another day next week to complete the shopping next week. While my hubs had already bought me a Christmas pressie (which is something that I chose myself!), I have yet to get him one. I am lost for gift ideas for him. Maybe I should get him a family locket cuff link so that he can see the pictures of his 3 angels even when he’s at work. Good idea eh? Have you done your Christmas shopping yet?

We were at the shopping mall this afternoon. When we were at the toy store, I made sure that hubs did not buy anymore toys for the girls. I knew he was very, very tempted to spoil the girls with toys and other unnecessary stuff again. This time, I made sure that his money remained intact in his wallet. My girls, they have more than enough toys.

I finally got a laptop for my girls. I wanted to wait for a PC fair or some kind of sales like the Black Friday to get the laptop but I could not wait. Our friend who usually loans us his laptop each time we go to Penang was unable to loan it to us this time as his laptop konked out. So I pestered hubs to quickly get one from Low Yat Plaza 2 weeks ago. I am one happy woman now.

Baby’s 4th post-surgery ultrasound scan yesterday went well. Baby was very brave this time and did not shed a single tear. It could be because I had prepared her mentally for it. Or it could be because her Sherilyn jie jie was with her in the room, to give her moral support. Next year in June, Baby needs to do a MAG3 scan of her urinary tract system. This radioactive procedure is very costly and is only available at a few hospitals in the country. I know that this will not be covered by our insurer. I hope to get an insurer who will cover such procedures. I wonder if www.wholesaleinsurance.net provides coverage for such procedures. I must google search around to find an insurer who provides a wide coverage for different types of procedures and disorders.

If you were as fat as one of those participants of Asia’s Biggest Loser, would you consider taking fat burner for men or some slimming products for women? If I were so huge or even half the size of those participants, I would definitely consider some kind of fat burner to speed up my fat loss rate. I cannot imagine myself being obese and saying good-bye to wearing sexy clothes. I know for sure that I will never let this happen to myself.

I am thankful that I am blessed with a flawless complexion. I hardly ever buy acne cream like therapores. My existing tube of pimple cream is more than 3 years old and there is still half a tube left. My hubby uses the pimple cream too once in a blue moon. I must remember to check the expiry date on the tube of pimple cream today, lest we get poisoned by applying expired topical meds on our skin.
