After my former live-in helper left us last year, I discovered that our washing machine was terribly infested with black mildew in the detergent compartment and the rubber rim at the door. I had a hard time scrubbing the mildew away. The rubber rim is still badly stained with black mold, which cannot be wiped away. I think that lady never wiped the washing machine after use and I did not check on that regularly. I now have to make a phone call to the washing machine service centre to ask for the rubber rim to be replaced but I keep procrastinating making the call. I never like making such phone calls as I hate listening to pre-recorded messages which would often result in my call being cut after I have waited for a few minutes. If only they have online customer service where I can just fill out a repair ticket, just like the maytag washer repair online service, I would have filed my request online immediately without any hesitation.
